Why We Started…

At Otters Card Corner it’s more than just the cards for us; this dream started with the purpose of giving people a safe space to be, a sense of community and a sense of belonging that we all want. We know that everyone needs a little escape sometimes and a place to feel comfortable in, especially for the hobbies they enjoy. We strive to be that place for as many as we can be and grow this shop into something people love just as much as we do. We value each and every person we interact with because for us, this is more than just a job.

We believe strongly in showing others genuine love and kindness while engaging in this fun TCG hobby to build an amazing community together. We are here to create a family-friendly environment where, no matter your age, we hope you can interact with our shop being able to walk away feeling safe, welcome, satisfied, and wanting to come back again.

So whether you are completely new to the TCG world, a long-time player, a dedicated collector, know someone who is or just a mix of them all, Otters Card Corner is the right place for you! We can’t wait to meet each and every one of you and have you be a part of our little community.

Why Otters Card Corner?

Hello and welcome to Otters Card Corner! We are an online TCG card shop and thought we should do a little introduction to us, specifically our logo, name, and why we chose it. Hand drawn and picked by Jacob, it is simple and cute yes, but behind that there is much more meaning to this business.

Otters are one our favourite animals and to us they represent joyfulness and playfulness. They also represent family, friendship, adaptability, and grace. We want to bring that kind of love and environment to this business and everything we do for you, being able to effectively balance work and play.

For our name, we think of “corner” in two ways. The cornerstone, the foundation, and at the foundation of what we are is a shop that strives to be a safe space. All about friendship/family, grace, love, and adapting what life has given us. We also see “corner” like a nook, a spot where you can curl up and just be. Everyone has a corner in their life. It's that place where you feel welcome and safe, so that's what we hope Otters Card Corner can be for others as well as us. That is the dream, to be able to share that love with as many people as possible.
